Special Meeting
City of Southlake
April 19, 1966
A special meeting of the council of the City of Southlake was held on
the evening of April 19, 1966. Answering roil call were councilmen
Earl Williams, J. J. Carliie, J. D. Cate, W. H. Crumbaker. Also
present were all members of the Zoning and Planning Commission, including
the newly appointed member, Mayne Frank. Mr. Frank had been appointed
by Mayor Schell to take the place of Mr. L. A. Casey, who had moved
to Oklahoma some months ago.
General discussion centered around the request Of J. C. Wood to have his
property zoned for trailer court usage. Zoning and Planning Commission
members and members of the City Council agreed that Mr. Wood should
submit a plat drawn to scale to indicate the following:
1. Number of trailers planned and location of each
2. Location of septic tank and lateral lines
Further discussion firmed up the following required items:
Motion or specific statement that this property would be zoned for trailer
court only, and that in the event this business is discontinued, it will

I" revert back to residential zoning. The matter to be presented at the
regular meeting of the city council in May. If zoning is approved at that
time, Mr. Wood is to apply for permit. Tri-County Electric Company to be
notified to extend service cut-off date to May 6, 1966.
No further action was taken. Meeting adjourned by mutual consent.

I did not call a meeting of the zoning and planning
commission because I do not think that I have enough information.
For Instance:
I believe he only has enough square footage there for
himself and nine trailers if you say that each family needs
10,000 sq. ft. for septic systems.
I personally think that if the ordinance was very care-,
fully worded so that the property reverted back to residential
if no longer to be used as traipark it would be alright
for the council to rezone it. u of course all ordinances
should be adhered to.
