special meeting which was held on July 10, 19646 He stated that
a the gentlemen who had been invited to come and hear Mr. Fred Jones
from the Farm Home Administration, had done so, and that much interest
was manifested. A slate of proposed questions and the answers thereto,
was handed to the council members present and Mr. McClure* Several
m suggestions were made and Mr, McClure took a copy of the
questions
to have further conference with Mr. Jones to determine the correctness
of some of the answers. The question sheet will be returned to Mr.
Tate at the earliest possible time, after which, another meeting of
the Council will be held to determine several factors:
1. How best to proceed to acquaint the public with the proposed plan.
2. Whether or not Council will serve as a steering committee to get
the proposal underway.
Mr. Tate stated that although great interest was manifested among the
men on the July 10 meeting date, none were apparently interested in
assuming leadership in promoting the project.
r No action was taken--the matter being more or less tabled until Mr.
McClure has opportunity of checking with Mr. Jones.
