Minutes of May 21, 1968
rr The City Council regular meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. in
the City Hall of Southlake, by Mayor J.L. Clow. Councilmen present were:
*4 J.D. Cate, J.J. Carlile, Thurman and Mike O'Brien.
First Order of Business: Annexation Ordinance for R.W. Morrow was checked
by the council members.
J.J.Carlile made the motion that the council approve asid adopt this annex-
ation as Ordinance No.I51. J.D. Cate seconded the motion and the vote was unan-
imously in favor of the motion.
Second Order of Business: Petition for annexation by C.L. Cheatham.
Mike O'Brien made the motion to accept the petition for annexation. Thur-
man Hearn seconded the motion. The council voted unanimously in favor.
Third Order of Business: Mayor Clow accepted the council's choice that he
should be the representative to the North Texas Council of Governments.
Fourth--A letter was read from Fred J. Smith, Chief Sanitarian, stating that
he would meet with the council on May 22, 1968.
Five--Thurman Hearn made the motion to approve $30 spent for additional
office furniture. Mike O'Brien seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.
Six--Letters had mailed informing the public of the town hall meeting
of May 23, 1968. It should also be in forth-coming issue of Grapevine Sun.
Seven--Art Clifton was present to discuss with the council the possible
infraction of city water and trailer ordinances. Ile stated that he would rec-
tify the water problem, but no agreement was reached in regards to the trailer
situation.
Eight--Thurman Hearn made the motion to adjourn, seconded by J.J. Carlile
and passed unanimously.
