1967-02-07 "wl d City of Southlake Council Meeting Feb. 7, 1967 A The meeting was called to order by Mayor Paul Schell Councilmen present were: J. J. Carlile Webb Crumbaker J. D. Cate Earl Williams J. Les Clow Also City Attorney, Ben McClure The minutes of the regular meeting of Jan 3 were read by the Mayor. They were corrected and approved as corrected. The minutes of the Special meeting, Jan. 26 were read and approved. It was moved by Mr. J. D. Cate to rezone Al Pinson's property from residen- tial to business with the revert clause included. Jay Carlile seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. It was moved by J. Carlile to rezone a tract of land owned by Dr. B. E. Moore and partners from residential to commercial with the stipulation that any proposed commercial venture on said property is to be reviewed and approved by the city council. Earl Williams seconded the motion. '4 The motion carried unanimously. The Messina water problem was discussed and reffered to City Attorney Ben „j McClure for future action. J. J. Carlile, Southlake Water Commissioner was instructed to write a letter to Mr. Frank Denton informing him he owes the city water system $250.00 for a water tap. It was moved by Earl Williams to designee the Carroll School Library as the official City of Southlake Public Library. J. J. Carlile seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. There was a discussion of the Fire Department and the proposed new city building. Some of the duties of a commissioner of Mobile Homes were discussed. They included: 1. issue and record all permits for mobile domes 2. make a positive 6 months check on individual cases 3. report to the city council at each regular meeting 4. be authorized to force removal of non-cooperative parties It was moved by Earl Williams to establish a commissioner if Mobile Homes. J. D. Cate seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously, I~ I: OWN City of Southlake Council Meeting L Feb. 7, 1967 Mayor Schell appointed Red Higgins as Building Commissioner for the City of Southlake. The Council members approved unanimously. The City Council is to meet with Dick O'Malley Thursday, Feb. 9, 1967 at 7:30 P. M.
