A private club --aka bar/tavern--is not appropriate for land that sits feet away from residential yards. Hours of occupation can go up to 2AM on many nights. There is no reason an establishment of this type shouldn't be within the Town Square development next to other restaurants and bars. A drive through bank/ATM would be a 24/7 operation that would require bright nightime lighting and visibility and have traffic at all hours, not ideal for families. Southlake is a crown jewel among towns because of the prudent decisions made with regard to development. I strongly urge you to consider if you would want this development behind your family home. The zoning change to TZD and a 2 story building should have never been approved in the first place as this property abuts existing residential. However, now that they are trying to put a bar (and increase the height of the building by 33%) that will practically look onto our street, that is too far. PLEASE listen to your community and residents. The fact that they are trying to rezone now should make you question why this wasn't in the original request (because they knew there would have been very little support, if any, for it).
