Secure bids on gas and oil for City use. e w~ " " s " r a 23 I CITY OF SOUTHLARE COUNCIL MEETING April 1, 1969 The regular meeting of the Southlake City Council was called to order by Mayor J. L. Clow at 8:00 p.m. Councilmen present: J. D. Cate, Thurman Hearn, M. J. O'Brien and Buddy Brown. Councilmen absent: J. J. Carlile. Also present were Chief of Police Doyle Inca and R. W. Mussina, City Auditor. The ainates of the March 18th meeting were read and approved. Mayor Clow read a letter to the Council from the Planning & Zoning Commission concerning the request of Irving Cope for a change in zoning from Agricultural Residential to Heavy Commercial. The Council set a date for public hearing on Tuesday, April 29th, at City Hall, 7:30 p.m. In the minutes of the last meeting, March 18th> the motion had been made to charge churches and public schools only ' the City's actual cost of installation of water rather than the $250 established fee and to refund to any church and/or • public school any money that might have been paid over and ' above such cost. Having been advised by the.Cit*,a ttorney, Glenn Goodnight, Mayor Clow informed the Council that such action, while well intended, was contrary to the City's bond agreement with F.H.A. and could possibly jeopardize the bond. Whereupon, M. J. O'Brien made a motion to rescind said motion; seconded by Thurman Hearn, carried unanimously. Mr. R. W. Mussina presented the Council with his completed audit of the City of Southlake's financial position. ' Chief Inca turned in the Pofia°e Department report for March , ' 1969. (Copy attached.) The City Secretary was instructed to seek bids from several reputable firms on premium grade gasoline and oil in case lots. • Thurman Hearn made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by J. D. Cate, and carried unanimously.
