CITY OF SOUTHLAKE COUNCIL MEETING
MARCH 4, 1969, MINUTES
The regular meeting of the Southlake City Council was
called to order by Mayor J. L. Clow at 7:30 p.m. Council-
men present: J. D. Cate and Thurman Hearn. A quorum
not being present, no official business could be trans-
acted. Therefore, a motion to adjourn the meeting was
made by Thurman Hearn, seconded by J. D. Cate, and
carried unanimously.
An unofficial informal discussion followed between the
mayor and Mr. Glyn Morrison regarding the enforcement
of City Ordinance No. 75, pertaining to junkyards. Mr.
Morrison's main point was to urge the City to take some
decisive action to have the property next to him cleaned
up once and for all. After further discussion, Mr.
Morrison agreed to sign a complaint after the City
Attorney draws one up. In the meantime, the City
Secretary is to send a letter to the owner of the
property in question, D. E. Burgess, asking for co-
operation in relieving the offending condition.
40 Mr, and Mrs. Bob Pas1ey, future homeowners of South-
lake., inquired about the possibility of having a
trailer put on their property to live in until such r
time as their home is completed. Mayor Clow explained
the City Ordinance regarding trailers which makes no
provision for temporary usage. However, he advised
them he would be glad to discuss the matter with the
City Attorney and give them an answer. Their address
is Rt. 1, Box 703, Irving, Texas 75060.
