He advised the Council he would work up details on prices and needs if informed as to their thoughts on the matter, the purpose tonight being to let Council know what is required at this time by the F.C.C. and what is ccming in the future. Follow- ing discussion, the Mayor Pro Tem thanked Mr. Bell for coming. (Another meeting with Mr. Bell will be set up when his pro- posals are ready for Council's consideration.) COG meeting on July 8th regarding sewerage will be attended by Councilmen Polson and Hearn and the City Secretary. The City Secretary was requested to attend these meetings which are pertinent to the City of Southlake when none of the Council or the Mayor are able to attend in order to assure Southlake~is represented. A City Sales Tax was next discussed and the Mayor Pro Tem asked that the Council be giving the matter some thought for the near future. Councilman Polson moved that the City Secretary get information on the same; seconded by Councilman Brown. Motion tarried unanimously. Water Rates Revision was asked for by Citizen J. C. Wood who informed the Council he felt it fair for him to be charged more than a residential rate for his trailer park but that the Trailer Park Rate set by the Council recently was unfair since he was the only one in Southlake paying it. Lengthy discussion followed whereupon Mayor Pro Tem Booker suggested further discussion be postponed until such time as the Council has an opportunity to study the rates further. The Council agreed to hear Mrs. Ben Muir, regarding her 1 property where an open ditch exists. She explained that the County said it must have permission from the City of Southlake to put in a culvert there. The City Secretary ' was instructed to write a letter so advising. Mrs. Muir was advised that any expenses incurred were hers to bear, to which she agreed. Mrs Muir also told the Council she wants more police coverage (although she stated earlier ' she did not like the city sales tax.) i Building Inspector change is to be put on the agenda for the ' next meeting. Councilman Brown asked that the City Secretary notify Mr. Harty by letter. Northeast Cities Advisory Council has an important meeting coming up Thursday, July 9th. Councilman Polson, at Council- man Hearn's suggestion, volunteered to serve as alternate to assure representation by the City of Southlake. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
