REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 2, 1970
The City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, met in
regular session in the Council Chamber of City Hall on Tues-
day, June 2, 1970, with the following members present:
J. L. Clow, Mayor i
Wade Booker, Mayor Pro Tem (arrived late)
Thurman Hearn, Councilman
W. B. "Buddy" Brown, Councilman
Ralph Polson, Councilman
Billy Joe Knox, Councilman
Also present: William D. Campbell, City Attorney
Mayor Clow called the meeting to order at 7:40 P.M. The in-
vocation was given by Councilman Polson.
The minutes were approved as read.
• Fire Department Report was given by Chief Bob Steele. (Copy
attached. Discussion followed regarding radios.
Police De artment Report was given by Chief Doyle Ince. (Copy
attached. Explanation of coverage to permit summer vacations
was given by the Chief.
Matters not on the Agenda: Citizen James Sheldon brought up
the matter of underground burial. The Council is contemplat-
ing the adoption of an ordinance regarding burial in the City
of Southlake at this time.
Citizen Harley Eaton asked the Council for an explana-
tion regarding unmarked police cars. Chief Ince informed him
that the No. 1 car was brand new and the markings for it have
not as yet arrived and the No. 2 car was kept unmarked for
criminal investigation and warrant service matters. Citizen '
Eaton thanked him for the information.
The City Secretary advised the Council of the status
of our application for HUD funds for Well No. 2.
Motion to approve the bills presented for payment was made by
Councilman Brown; seconded by Councilman Knox. Motion carried
unanimously.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
