1971-03-11 35 P SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL ' March 11, 1971 ' The City Council of the City of Southlake met in special session in the Council Chamber of City Hall on Thursday, March 11, 1 971 , with the following members present: 1 J. L. Clow, Mayor Wade Booker, Mayor Pro Tem Thurman Hearn, Councilman Buddy Brown, Councilman Ralph Polson, Councilman ' Absent: Billy Joe Knox, Councilman Also present. William D. Campbell, City Attorney ' Mayor Clow called the meeting to order at 8:55 A.M. The invocation was given by Councilman Polson. The Council was informed that the purpose of this meeting was to have contracts awarded to the lowest responsible bidders for the construction of a ground storage tank and pumping facilities. The recommendation received from Mr. ' Jimmy Alewine of Carter &Burgess, Inc., named H & S Con- struction Company for the tank and Allison & Henry Utility Construction Company for the pumping facilities. WHEREUPON, Councilman Booker moved that Resolution No. 71-5 be passed and approved gi vi ng the Mayor the authority to ' award said contracts to the above-named companies; seconded by Councilman Polson.
