REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS
February 15, 1972
The City Council of the City of Southlake met in regular session
in the Council Chamber of the City Hall on Tuesday, February 15,
1972, with the following members present:
Wade Booker, Mayor
Ralph Polson, Mayor Pro Tem
W. 0. Nunn, Councilman
R. D. Drummond, Councilman
Absent: Billy Joe Knox, Counciftn
Thurman Hearn, Councilman
Also present: William D. Campbell, City Attorney
Mayor Booker called the meeting to order at 7:35 P.M. The in-
vocation was given by Councilman Ralph Polson.
The minutes of the,last regular meeting were approved as read.
Southlake Estates Plat was presented by Gene Worrell. The plat
indicates our eet of right-of-way on Jimison-Fowler Road for
future widening. Councilman Polson moved to accept the plat in
accordance with Ordinance No. 160; seconded by Councilman Nunn.
Motion carried unanimously. Discussion followed regarding a
Community Facilities Agreement.
Cromoglass Sewage Systems for individual home usage presentation
was made by Allen Young, President of Cromoglass. Many inter-
ested citizens were in attendance for this portion of the meeting. ~r
Resolution No. 72-3, calling for employment of Attorney-at-Law
Wayne Ro ne or the collection of delinquent taxes, was passed
on motion by Councilman Nunn; seconded by Councilman Polson.
Motion carried unanimously. (Attached and made a part hereof.)
Property owners in the Jellico Ranch Estates appeared before
the Council requesting that the Citv grant residential zoning
in this area which presently is an unrecorded plat. The City
Attorney he would meet with them privately to discuss details.
Lone Star Gas Com an representative, Mr. Terry Irwin, appeared
before the Council requesting permission to use polyethylene
pipe for gas installations in the Cityof Southlake. Mayor Booker
advised the matter would be tabled at this time for further study.
Q Councilman Nunn moved that the Fire Department pumper truck have
lights affixed in order to pass inspection; seconded by Council-
man Drummond. Motion carried unanimenely.

Councilman Polson reported $667 was spent thus far on the
work upstairs in City Hall.
Resolution No. 72-4, calling for support of the Trinity River
Authority Wallisvi le Project was tabled to the next regular
I~ meeting.
Councilman Polson moved that the bills presented be approved
for payment; seconded by Councilman Nunn. Motion carried un-
animously.
Janitorial service for cleaning City Hall was next discussed.
Councilman Po son moved to hire two high school boys to clean
twice weekly at $10 per week and to have the floors re-waxed
by professional floor cleaners at a cost of $40; seconded by
Councilman Nunn. Motion carried unanimously.
R. W. Mussina, Chairman of the Planning & Zoning Commission,
3 recommended to the Council that Ordinance No. 161 be amended
to increase the application fee to $75.00. The Council was in
general agreement to take the necessary steps to so amend said
3 ordinance.
® Councilman Drummond reported on the house numbering and street
naming project. He announced that the Cityof Southlake would
3 be completed by the target date of March 1st but that the Cities
of Grapevine and Colleyville were not ready.
Mr. Larry Brown, Mayor of Keller, addressed the Council regard-
3 the TRA Sewage Project. A tentative date for a meeting was
set for Wednesday, February 23rd, for further study.
3 There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.

WHEREAS, the City of Southlake, Texas,
levied ad valorem taxes on all property
within its corporate limits, both real
and personal, commencing in 1968; And,
WHEREAS, there are delinquent taxes on
the 1968 Tax Roll and the Tax Roll for
each subsequent year; And,
WHEREAS, such delinquency exceeds a per-
centage of the total of each Tax Roll
considered acceptable by the Municipal
Advisory Council of Texas, an association
of municipal bond dealers of Texas; Now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE i
CITY OF SOUTHLAKE that the Mayor be authorized and is
hereby directed:
(1) to employ Wayne Rohne of Arlington, Texas,
Attorney-at-Law, to take the necessary steps to collect
such delinquent taxes for the City of Southlake;
(2) that said attorney be paid of all
such taxes collected out of the Genera Fund,)
(3) that such employment commence
1972, and continue through 1 97 .
