Approval of bills E~ a "powwow CITY OF SOUTHLAKE TEXAS REGULAR MEETING__OF`.THE CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 2, 1973 The City Council of the City of Southlake met in regular session in the Council Chamber of City Hall in Southlake, Texas, on Tues- day, January 2, 1973, with the following members present: Wade Booker, Mayor ii Billy Joe Knox, Mayor Pro Tem W. 0. Nunn, Councilman R. D. Drummond, Councilman Absent: Frank Tetrault, Councilman J. A. Perez, Councilman Also present: William D. Campbell, City Attorney. Mayor Booker called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. The invoca- tion was given by Councilman Knox. The minutes of the last regular meeting were approved as read. ZA-72-7 and ZA-72-8: For the benefit of those in attendance at III this public hearing, the Mayor read aloud the recommendation for approval by the Planning & Zoning Commission of the PUD request by Love-Henry & Associates, Inc., and Billy Joe Knox on approxi- mately 112 acres of land described in said applications by metes and bounds. A presentation of the proposed development was made by Mr. Al Tafelski of IBS Architects, representing Love-Henry & Associates. Some questions were asked by Mrs. Ted Kasper and Mr. Ralph Polson and both citizens spoke in favor 6f it. No one spoke against it. Whereupon, it was moved by Councilman Nunn that~,Q nance No. 161-48, changing the zoning on said tract of land, ~romf s Ag District to PUD, incorporating by reference in said ordinance certain conditions recommended by the Planning & Zoning Commission be passed and approved; seconded by Councilman Knox. The vote was as follows: Councilman Nunn--For; Councilman Drummond--Against; Councilman Knox--Abstained. Mayor Booker cast a vote to break the tie--For. Motion carried. (Ordinance attached hereto and made a part hereof.) Water Department Report was made by Supt. W. G. Cline. Fire Department Report was made by Chief R. P. Steele. He submitted the monthly report and the annual report. (Attached hereto.) Police Department Report was given by Chief D. R. Hughes. (Attached ereto. The Council agreed to dispose of the 9 drawer file cabinet j Ir 3 in the Police Department in exchange for a desk.to be used in the Ip Fire Department. Councilman Knox moved that all the bills presented bQ approved for payment; seconded by Councilman Nunn. Motion carried unanimously. Councilman Knox moved that the City Secretary attend the workshop ' at NTSU in Denton on Texas election laws; seconded by Councilman Nunn. Motion carried unanimously. Mayor and Council City of Southlake, Texas Gentlemen: i At the regular meeting of the Planning & Zoning Commission i' held November 28, 1972, ZA-72•-7 and •ZA-72-8 were recommended for approval of.a change nnzzoning from Ag District to P.U.D.. upon the condition that the following items be incorporated in the adopting ordinance: 1. The Dove Creek Report. 2. The Dove Creek Supplemental Report: A. 120 feet of right of way dedicated along d I Carroll Avenue. B. 120 feet of right of way dedicated along Highland Street. C. The street on the north of the tract be~ dedicated with at least half (401) of an ' 80 foot right of way. i~ D. The preliminary and final plat should have a note stating that "no parking" will be permitted on the interior public streets. E. The street on the north side of the commer- cial tract and Section 1 should be cul-d- saced, it should not penetrate to the east. F. The street on the east side of the tract should be held in abeyance until a plan for the adjacent property is prepared. G. Delineation of open space and inclusion of { a proposal fora future Home Owners Associ- ation for the care and maintenance of same. !
