City Secretary 51 • CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL APRIL 7, 1975 The City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, met in special session in the City Secretary's office at 667 North Carroll Avenue in Southlake on Monday, April 7, 1975 with the following msimbers present: Wade Booker, Mayor W. O. Nunn, Mayor Pro Tem Billy Joe Knox, Councilman R. D. Drummond, Councilman Absent: Sam Davis, Councilman James H. Winfrey, Councilman The Mayor called the meeting to order at 6:37 P.M. Resolution No. 75-7 was read aloud to the Council by the Mayor setting forth the results of the Municipal Election held April ® 5, 1975, for the purpose of electing Municipal Officers. The Council accepted the results as read and unanimously passed and approved Resolution No. 75-7 on motion by Councilman Drummond; seconded by Councilman Knox. (Resolution No. 75-7 is attached hereto and made a part hereof.) There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. Mayor ATTEST: City Secretary 1 52 RESOLUTION NO. 75-7 WHEREAS, there was held in the City of South lake, Texas, on the 5th day of April, 1975, an6 election for Mayor and ' City Councilmen in Places 1, and 2; And, WHEREAS, there were cast at said election 128 votes as:., ' shown in the official election returns heretofore law- fully submitted to the City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, and filed with the City Secretary of t of said City; And, WHEREAS, only duly qualified resident electors of said ' City Voted at said election, and said election was called and held in strict conformity with the laws of the State of Texas; And, ' WHEREAS, the results of said election were duly canvassed by the City Council of the City of Southlake on the'gth ' day o& 4pril, 1975, and showed the following results: Mayor: Wade Booker . . . . 120 votes ' Sam Davis . . . . 2 votes Ralph Polson . . . . 1 vote Place 1: William 0. Nunn . . . 125 votes Place 2: Alfred R. Pinson 20 votes ' Ben H. Berry . . . . 107 votes NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY ' OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT: 1. The above canvass be and the same is hereby in all ' things approved. 2. Wade Booker be and is hereby declared to have been ' elected to the office of Mayor, to serve until April, 1977; William O. Nunn be and is hereby declared to have been elected to the office of Eouncilman, Place 1, to ' serve until April, 1977; and, Ben H. Berry be and is 1'-1;,~!hereby declared to have been elected to the office of Councilman, Place 2, to serve until April, 1977. ' PASSED AND APPROVED this 7th day of Apri 1975.
