Mayor McCaskill led the pledges of allegiance to the United States and Texas Flags. 3. SOUTHLAKE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE UPDATE - SOUTHLAKE OKTOBERFEST Southlake Chamber President and CEO Mark Guilbert updated the Council on the upcoming Southlake Oktoberfest. 4. HONORS & RECOGNITION: PROCLAMATION FOR NATIONAL CHIROPRACTIC HEALTH MONTH Dr. Tyce Hegert, who has practiced in Southlake for 25+ years, was honored and recognized by the Mayor and City Council for National Chiropractic Health Month. 5. HONORS & RECOGNITION: PROCLAMATION FOR THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF CALL A RIDE SOUTHLAKE (CARS) Call a Ride Southlake Executive Director Erik Phelps was honored and recognized by the Mayor and City Council for their 25t" anniversary of CARS. EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor McCaskill announced the City Council would go into Executive Session pursuant to the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, Section 551.071 consultation with city attorney; Section 551.072, deliberation regarding real property; and Section 551.087, deliberation regarding economic development negotiations. The City Council adjourned for Executive Session at 5:56pm. Executive Session began at 6:OOpm and concluded at 7:35pm. 2B. RECONVENE Mayor McCaskill reconvened the meeting at 7:42pm. As a result of the Executive Session, a motion was made to direct the City Manager to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding for Project No. 2024-01, as discussed. NATIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE WEEK UPDATE City Manager Alison Ortowski invited Melody Andersen, Operations Manager, Customer Relations, and Ines Thornlow, Customer Experience Assistant, to the podium to provide an update on National Customer Service Week.
