Research and recommendations forhow Southlake should approachthe question of creatinga performingarts center. Whathasbeen happeninginSouthlake thatmakes madeitimportant to undertake this plan? 1) quirethata plan beundertaken; 2) Asthecity has beguntocommission itsfirst public artworks, it hasbecome clear thatthecity shoulddevelopalong-term strategy, and toput inplace thepolicy and proceduresnecessary todothingscorrectly; 3) The questionof whether and howthecity shouldsupport thecreation ofa performingartscenteris still avery important public issue; 4) And, thecityis currentlyrevising its comprehensiveplan, whichprovides agood opportunity tolookathowpublicartrelatestothe city.
