WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of
Southlake deems it to be to the best interest,
health and welfare of its citizens to plan
and develop city parks and park sites; AND,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of
Southlake desires to coordinate such planning
and developing under a Parks and Recreation
Commission and the Facilities Liaison Officer;
AND,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council
of the City of Southlake to have this
Commission serve a one 1) year term;from
the 21st day of November 1978 to the 21st
day of November 1979, NOW,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE,THAT:
1. A Parks and Recreation Commission be and is hereby created
for the purpose of planning and developing parks and park
sites within the City of Southlake for the use and benefit
of its citizens.
2. The Parks and Recreation Commission shall, under the
direction and approval of the Facilities Liaison Officer,
work with the City Planner as well as the Tarrant County
Planning Division is planning and developing such parks.
3. The following are hereby appointed to serve a term
of one 1) year from this date, with Mr. Dennis Crosby
serving as the chairperson.
