WHEREAS, it is to the best interest of the
citizens of the City of Southlake that there
be a City Health Officer for the protection
of their health and welfare; And,
WHEREAS, State law, under Vernon's Civil
Statutes, Article 4425, requires the
to serve
appointment of a City Health
the City of Southlake; And,
WHEREAS, Sam Gladney, has expressed his will-
ingness to serve as City Health Officer;
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Dr. Sam Gladney be and he is hereby appointed to
serve as City Health Officer for a term of one 1) year
from this date to the first Tuesday of October,1979.
