AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY
ADJACENT AND CONTINGUOUS TO THE CITY OF SOUTH-
LAKE, TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL
BECOME A PART OF SAID CITY AND THAT THE OWNERS
AND INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO
ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF THE OTHER CITIZENS OF
SAID CITY, AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDIN-
ANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND TO BE HEREAFTER ADOPTED;
FURTHER PROVIDING FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING
THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID CITY AS HERETO-
FORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED AND DESIGNATING THE
ZONING AS "A-3" (RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT: AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953,
53rd Legislature, Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as Article
974-G Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, James A. Rust, President
of B & R Development Corporation, a corporation of Tarrant County,
Texas, owners of the real property hereinafter described, having
made application as by law provided to the Mayor and City Council
of the City of Southlake, Texas, for annexation of a tract of
land situated in Tarrant County, Texas, out of the Mary Freeman
Survey, Abstract No. 533, more particularly described by metes
and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the centerline of Bear
Creek with the West line of the said Mary Freeman Survey;
THENCE N 00 10' 43" E along the West line of said survey
a distance of 1396.38 feet to a point in County Road
No. 3099;
THENCE s 890 06' 25" E along said County Road No. 3099 a
distance of 2640.32 feet to the intersection of the East
line of said Mary Freeman Survey with said County Road
No. 3099;
THENCE S 00 21' 30" W along the East line of said survey
a distance of 1043.92 feet to the intersection of the East
line of said survey with the centerline of said Bear Creek;
THENCE along the centerline of said Bear Creek:

beginning, containing 84.21 acres with approximately 0.9 acre
being occupied by said County Road No. 3099 leaving a net
acreage of 83.31 acres of land,more or less.
A plat of said land showing its location with respect to the
boundary of the City of Southlake, Texas, is attached hereto marked
EXHIBIT "A"; and,
WHEREAS, it appearing to the City Council of the City of South-
lake, Texas, that all statutory requirements in connection with said
proposed annexation have been fulfilled and that the above described
area is not more than one-half mile in width, that not more than
three qualified voters reside thereon, and that the same is adjacent
to the present city limits of the City of Southlake, Texas; Now
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS:
1.
THAT, the property hereinabove described being adjacent and conti-
guous to the city limits of Southlake, Texas, be and is hereby
annexed and brought within the corporate limits of said City and
is hereby made an integral part thereof.
2.
THAT, the owners and inhabitants of the area herein annexed be en-
titled to all of the rights and privileges of other citizens and
property owners of said City and be bound by all of the acts and
ordinances made in conformity thereto, now in full force and effect
and that which may be hereafter adopted.

THAT, the official map and boundaries of the City of Southlake,
Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended, be and is hereby amended
sous to include the aforementioned territory as part of the City
of Southlake, Texas.
4.
THAT, in accordance with Section IV-4 of Ordinance No. 161, the
land made the basis of this annexation proceeding is hereby zoned
A-3" (Residential) District.
THIS Ordinance shall become effective from and after its passage
and approval.

held at City Hall, Tuesday, June 24, 1975, it was moved by
Bob Pasley, seconded by C. M. Gordon and unanimously approved
by the Commission that the request by C. F. Emery for "H"
Heavy Commercial) District and "SP" (Alcoholic Beverage)
District on 0.641 acre of land out of the Samuel Freeman Survey,
Abstract No. 525, located on the corner of State Highway 114 and
Kimball Avenue, be recommended for approval.
