On behalf of Governor Dolph Briscoe's Criminal Justice Division, I cordially
invite you to a meeting of the Criminal Justice Division Advisory Board on
January 10, 1975, at the Royal Coach Inn, 3800 Northwest Highway, in Dallas.
The Advisory Board meeting will be at 1:30 p.m., preceded by a brief board
meeting at 9 a.m. and concurrent meetings of the board's four subcommittees
police services, court services, correction services, and citizen involvement
and technology services).
We feel this meeting is significant historically. This is only the second
time in its six-year existence that this group has convened outside the state
capital. It is hoped this meeting will allow citizens and criminal justice
officials in North Texas to observe first hand the workings of the Governor's
Criminal Justice Division.
The Governor's Criminal Justice Division assists in the state's crime-
reduction effort by providing a comprehensive planned program of technical and
funding assistance to units of local government and state agencies in areas such
as crime prevention, detection and apprehension, adjudication, and correction.
We invite you and your city or county officials to attend this meeting. If
