1972-01-04 CC PacketORDINANCE NO. 5-A An ordinance approving certain Rate Schedules filed by Texas i_Power & Light Company in the City of Southlake Texas, and providing conditions under which suc Rate the uses may be changed, modified, amended or withdrawn; BE IT ORDAINED BY THE.CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF'' SOUTHLAKE TEXAS: SECTION 1: That Texas Power & Light Company, having f iled on the 27th day of December 19 1 i,its Rate Book No. B-72 _ 1, containing a set o e ectric Rate Schedules and the ervice Regulations referred to therein, with the City Secretary, the same are hereby approvedjas Schedules of Rates and Service Regulations under which said Company is authorized to collect charges from its customers for the sale of electric power and energy within the corporate limits of the City until such time as said Rate Schedules and Service Regulations may be changed, modified, amended or withdrawn, with the. approval of the City Council, subject, however, to the provisions of the Economic Stabilization Act of 1970, as amended, and the Rules and Regulations there- under. SECTION 2: The filing of the Rate Schedules and Service Regulations, and the approval of same by the City Council, in the manner herein provided, shall constitute noti,ge,to the consumers of electricity, within the City, of the avail- ability and application of such Rate Schedules and Service Regulations. SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and approval by the Mayor. Hughes I jJ/H I I I RESOLUTION NO. 72-1 I WHEREAS, the City of Southlake did contract with Allison & Henry Contractors, Inc., on March 24, 1 971 , to construct pumping facil- ities; And, WHEREAS, the City of Southlake has paid to Allison & Henry the sum of $27,882.72, leav- ing a balance due of $3,098.08 under the terms of said opntract; And, 1 WHEREAS, the work having been completed and final payment requested by Allison & Henry and recommended to be paid by Carter & Burgess, Inc., City Engineers; Now, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF SOUTHLAKE THAT :J Allison & Henry, Contractors, Inc., having fully completed the work under the terms of said contract to the satisfac- tion of the City. Council, the City Council does hereby resolve that the. Mayor be authorized to issue the final payment to Allison & Henry in the amount of $3,098.08, which sum.i s, to be withdrawn from the Water System checking account.
