Carroll Avenue OF Index No. MEMBER Caption Page 2 of 3 pages Ozell Cline reported that the City's water is SAFE DRINK- within the safe limits at this time under the ING WATER present guidelines set forth in the Safe Drink-ACT REPORT ing Water Act but more stringent regulations are forthcoming in 1977. Superintendent Clin advocates increasing water rates 104 per WATER RATES 1,000 gallons, as well as going to 604 per 1,000 over 14,000 and increasing the monthly minimum on larger meters. [Council called for bids to be advertised for repainting the in- terior of the overhead water storage tank. Following his monthly report on building per- mits, Building Inspector Senn advised the BUILDING Council that he has told Tirex Industries to PERMIT REPORT have their premises cleaned up by the end of two weeks. He further advised that houses built on lots in designated flood plain areas in Continental Park Estates must meet the minimum elevations indicated on the filed plat. The City Secretary/Court Clerk reported the MUNICIPAL October municipal court activities. COURT REPORT The City Secretary reported to the Council on the Public Works Employment Act of 1976 EDA REPORT which provides federal funds for municipal projects. ALLEN SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 18, AND THE W.R. EAVES SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 500, FROM AG (AGRICULTURE) DISTRICT TO H (HEAVY COM- MERCIAL) DISTRICT. WHEREAS, after receipt of request for change of zoning, notice given to applicable property owners of public hearing, notice of public hearing published, and public hearing having been con- ducted, all in compliance with Ordinance No. 161, of the City of Southlake, Texas, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas: SECTION 1. The certain Ordinance No. 161 passed by the City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, January 7, 1969, and being the "Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance" is hereby amended in- sofar as the one-third acre of land, more or less, out of the J.G. Allen Survey, Abstract No. 18 and W.R. Eaves Survey, Abstract No. 500, owned by Ottis F. Collins, Sr., under Deed dated July 9, 1971, recorded in Volume 5072, Page 963, DRTCT, more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: Being 0.366 acres of Land out of the J.G. ALLEN SURVEY, Abstract No. 18, and the W.R. EAVES SURVEY, Abstract No. 500, Tarrant County, Texas; BEGINNING at an iron pin for corner in the East line of State F.M. Highway No. 1938, being 396.87 feet North and 76.9 feet West of the Southwest corner of the W.R. Eaves Survey, the Northwest corner of the T.J. Thompson Survey; THENCE East, along a fence line, 100.8 feet to an iron pin for corner; THENCE North 110-14' West, 159.56 feet to an iron pin for corner; THENCE West, 103.0 feet to an iron pin for corner in the East line of said Highway No. 1938 and in a fence line; THENCE South 12°-00' East, along the East line of said Highway No. 1938, and along a fence line, 160.0 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 0.366 acres of Land. is changed from its prior zoning classification of AG (Agriculture) District to a zoning classification of H (Heavy Commercial) District. SECTION 2. The Official zoning map created by said Ordinance No. _ 161 is hereby amended to reflect the change in zoning classification made by this Ordinance. SECTION 3. The said Ordinance No. 161, except as amended by this Ordinance No. 161-69 and prior ordinance amendments, remains in effect in all other respects as originally passed.
