BOX 18065 THE DALLAS, TEXAS 75218 WEST A/C 214 DA 7-4515 WATER SUPPLY & DRILLING SERVICE & MAINTENANCE October 29, 1970 Honorable Mayor & City Council City of Southlake Southlake, Texas Reference: Modification of Well Pumping Equipment Gentlemen: We are pleased to offer the following proposal for removing pump, adding stages to bring capacity up to 300 GPM and lower pump to a depth of 900 feet. The following parts will be required to perform this work: Item 1 -Two complete 8 " DRLC pump stages to make existing bowl 8-stages Item 2 -Change the existing 8 " DRHC impellers to 8 "DRLC Item 3 -One new stainless steel impeller shaft, 1-3/16" for I8-stage bowl Item 4 -200 feet of 2/0-3 conductor submersible cable Item 5 -200 feet of 5 -1/2 " O. D. pipe to lower pump to 900 ft. setting. With the present water levels, this pump should produce 340 GPM from a pumping level of 745 feet. We are enclosing a curve to show the reduced capacity as the water level recedes . The cost for the above material is 2,284.00 We also recommend the 90 HP submersible motor. be returned to the factory to be reconditioned. B. No. 2 FOUR TON PUMP PULLING RIG Zone 1 THREE MAN CREW Class R-1 1. SERVICE: Rig and crew for pulling and resetting water well pumping equipment that weighs less than four tons and more than two tons. 11. RIG & CREW CHARGE BASIS: A. MOVE IN AND OUT charged at a rate of B-1 per hour calculated at one hour for any part of each 25 miles of direct highway distance to and from job location and our dispatch yard plus two hours for crew briefing and loading required tools. B. OPERATING TIME OF RIG AND CREW, consisting of three crew members charged for at following rates: 1. Straight time rate per hour 34.00 2. Overtime rate per hour 37.00 3. Double time rate per hour 46.00 4. Stand-by crew, waiting or on call, when authorized a) Straight time, per hour 21.00 b) Overtime, per hour 24.00 c) Double time, per hour 34.00 5. Stand-by rig, 6 day week, 8 hour day, per hour 6.50 6. Daily crew mileage greater than 50 miles to and from job location charge per crew mile 0.18 7. Additional helpers when authorized a) Straight time per hour 7.50 b) Overtime per hour 8.25 c) Double time per hour 11.00 C. DEFINITIONS: 1. Straight time applies 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday thru Friday. 2. Overtime only when authorized by customer applies all Saturdays and time from 4:30 P.M. to 8:00 A.M. week days. 3. Holidays and Sundays work performed will be double time rate. Ill. ASSOCIATED SERVICES: D. REPAIR PARTS required charged for at regular selling prices. E. BUY-OUT materials, services and rentals charged for at invoice cost plus 16%. F. OTHER LAYNE TEXAS services and rentals, as required, such as hauling, machine shop, etc., charged for on basis of regular charge schedules. G. OTHER SERVICE PERSONNEL, when authorized and required, charged for at the following rates: 1. Technician, plus 2 below, per hour 10.00 2. Travel time charged from point of origin and return, plus transportation at cost or mileage at 18 cents per mile and daily subsistence at cost. IV. GENERAL: A. Purchaser will receive a copy of mechanic's daily work reports each day. These will be authority for billing number of hours worked. Customer should sign all such reports. B. All work performed herein is subject to provisions and conditions as stated in General Terms & Conditions. C. Layne Texas Company carries Workmen's Compensation and Public Liability insurance on all employees, as required by state laws wherein such work is performed.
