AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY
ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF SOUTH-
LAKE, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL
BECOME A PART OF SAID CITY AND THAT THE OWNERS
AND INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO
ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF THE OTHER CITIZENS OF
SAID CITY, AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORD-
INANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND M BE HEREINAFTER
XOMED; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR AMENDING AND
CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953.
53rd Legislature, Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as Article
97!4.-G, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, J. R. Keeton, Jr.,, of
Dallas County, Texan, owner of the real property hereinafter
described, having made application as by law provided to the
Mayor and City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, for
annexation of a tract of land situated. in Tarrant County,
Texas, out of the Christopher Dart and W. H. Martin Surveys,
more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a concrete monument in the South line
of said Christopher Dart Survey, 1620.0 feet South
89 degrees, 39 minutes West from the So0boast cor-
ner of said survey; said beginning point being in
the South line of (buy A. Robinson Tract;
THENCE South 89 degrees 39 minutes West 1616.3
feet with the South line of said Christopher Dart
Survey, passing the Southeast corner of the W. H.
Martin Survey, to a concrete monument at fence
corner in the South line of said W. H. Martin
Survey and in the East line of County Road No.
3035, said point being the Southwest corner of
said Guy A. Robinson Tract;
THENCE North 0 degrees 32 minutes West with the
East line of County Road No. 3035, 538.2 feet to
a concrete monument in fence line;
THENCE North 89 degrees, 39 minutes East and paral-
lel to the South line of the W. H. Martin Survey
and the South line of the Christopher Dart Survey,
1621.3 feet to a concrete monument for corner;
THENCE South 538.2 feet to the place of beginning,
and containing 20 acres of land.
A plat of said land showing its location with respect
to the boundary of the City of Southlake, Texas, is attached
hereto marked EXHIBIT "A"; And
WHEREAS, it appearing to the City Council of the City of
Southlake, Texas, that all statutory requirements in connec-
tion with said proposed annexation have been fulfilled and
that the above described area is not more than ~fi mile in width,
that not more than three qualified voters reside thereon, and
that the same is adjacent to the present city limits of the
City of Southlake, Texas,
BE IT ORDAINED Br THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE,TEXAS:

THAT, the property hereinabove described being adjacent and con-
tiguous to the city limits of Southlike, Texas, be and is hereby

annexed and brought within the Corporate Limits of said City
and is hereby made an integral part thereof.
2.
THAT, the owners and inhabitants of the area herein annexed
be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of other
citizens and property oWners of said City and be bound by
all of the acts and ordinances made in conformity thereto,
now in full force and effect and that which maybe hereafter
adopted.
3•
THAT, the official map and boundaries of the City of Southlake,
To".9, as heretofore adopted and amended, be and is hereby
amended so as to include the aforementioned territory as part
of the City of Southlake, Texas.
THAT, in accordance with Section IV-4 of Ordinance No. 161,
the land made the basis of this annexation proceeding is
hereby zoned "Ag" Agriculture District.
THIS ordinance shall become effective from and after its
passage and approval.

Commission on Tuesday, May 26, 1970, at the Southlake
City Hall, the Commission, by unanimous vats, agreed
I to recommend to the City Council that the application
of Real-Texas Enterprises, Inc., ZA-70-3, requesting
a zoning change from "Ag" Agriculture District to A-2
Single Family District be approved on 35 acres of
land, more or less, out of the John Childress Survey
formerly the Dr. Frank Austin Ranch), Abstract 254.
It is the opinion of this Commission that the property
in question is suitable for residential development
and that such development would be beneficial to the
City of Southlake in general.
