1969-12-02 CC Packet121 ORDINANCE NO. 162-A AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 162 TO GIVE AUTHORITY TO THE FIRE MARSHALL, AS WELL AS THE FIRE CHIEF, TO PROHIBIT THE KINDLING OF B0`N- PIRES AND 017T-DOOR RQBBISH FIRES. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of r Southlaks, Texas, amends Ordinance No. 162, Paragraph c) as hereinafter set forth BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED THAT HEREAFTER : s c) The Fire Marshall and/or Chief of the Fire Department may prohibit any or all bonfires and out- door rubbish fires when atmospheric conditions or local circumstances make such fires hazardous. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED THAT: The said Ordinance No. 162, except as amended by this Ordinance No. 162-A, remains in offset in all other respects as originally passed. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Budget prepared by the Mayor of the City of Southlake, Texas, for the City of Southlake for the year commencing January 1, 1970, through December 31, 1970, is hereby approved and ordered filed with the City Secretary of the City of Southlake, Texas. SECTION 2. The City Secretary is hereby ordered to file a copy of said Budget with the County Clerk of Tarrant County- at Fort Worth, Texas, and with the Comptroller of Public Accounts at Austin, Texas. It is for the City of Southlake, Texas, and for the fiscal year of January 1 1970 through December 31, 1970. Southlake has been incorporated since 1956. In order for 9P a well developed program for our area, it requires the ex-dui penditure of funds which must be met in part by a tax levy on the property within our boundaries.PP Some of the goals for the coming year as evidenced by the proposed budget are: PM 1. To continue to give our citizens the best, police protection that can be afforded. 2. Upgrade our Fire Department for better fire s protection and better insurance rates. 3. Expand our present water system and provide an additional well; and continue developing future water sources.
