Honorable City Council
City of Southlake
Southlake, Texas
Gentlemen:
t
This budget is prepared and submitted in conformance with
the Revised Civil Statues of Texas. It is for the City of
Southlake, Texas, and for the fiscal year of January 1
1970 through December 31, 1970.
Southlake has been incorporated since 1956. In order for 9P
a well developed program for our area, it requires the ex-dui
penditure of funds which must be met in part by a tax levy
on the property within our boundaries.PP
Some of the goals for the coming year as evidenced by the
proposed budget are:
PM
1. To continue to give our citizens the best,
police protection that can be afforded.
2. Upgrade our Fire Department for better fire s
protection and better insurance rates.
3. Expand our present water system and provide
an additional well; and continue developing
future water sources.
Appreciation is extended to all who have cooperat.ed in
helping our area in its development to date and their con-
tinuing cooperation is requested as well as the cooperation
of everyone in order to carry out projects for future,
orderly growth. Constructive criticism is welcomed.
Respectfully submitted:
