Nunn, Bob Goode and C. A. Sweet. ABSENT: Councilman Ben Berry. This meeting was called for the purpose of canvassing the votes of the Municipal Electio held 2 April 1977 for the purpose of electing officers of the city. The Council accepted Nunn X X the results as read, wherein Mayor Pro Tem Goode X X Hawk is elected Mayor, A. C. Urbanosky is Hawk X elected Councilman, Place 1, and Brad Popkin Sweet X is elected Councilman, Place 2, and passed and approved Resolution No. 77-11.. (Said r Resolution is attached hereto and made a part hereof.) There being no further business, the meeting adjounred. Uj#~X4 ayor ATTEST: City Secretary I 67 RESOLUTION NO. 77-12 WHEREAS, there was held in the City of Southlake, Texas, on the 2nd day of April, 1977, an election for Mayor and City Coun- cilmen in Places 1 and 2; And, WHEREAS, there were cast at said election 519 votes as shown in the official election returns heretofore lawfully submitted to the City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, and filed with the City Secretary of said City; And, WHEREAS, only duly qualified resident elec- tors of said City voted at said election, and said election was called and held in strict conformity with the laws of the State of Texas; And, WHEREAS, the results of said election were duly canvassed by the City Council of the City of Southlake on the 4th day of April, 1977, and showed the following results: Mayor: Martin (Pat) Hawk Wade Booker " 268 votes 248 votes Place 1: A. C. Urbanosky • Ralph W. Polson,Jr. 278 votes . 240 votes Place 2: Brad Popkin Sam Davis " " " 292 votes 222 votes NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT: 1. The above canvass be and the same is hereby in all things approved. 2. Martin (Pat) Hawk be and is hereby declared to have been elected to the office of Mayor to serve until April, 1979; A. C. Urbanosky be and is hereby declared to have been elected to the office of Councilman, Place 1, to serve until April, 1979; and, Brad Popkin be and is hereby de- clared to have been 61ected to the office of Councilman, Place 2, to serve until April, 1979. PASSED AND APPROVED this 4th day of April, 1977.
