A Revise Zoning Protest Procedures
For changes that would allow additional residential development
and do not allow additional commercial or industrial uses (unless limited
to the first floor of any residential development and not to exceed 35% of
the development), the threshold for a protest increases from 20% to
60% of affected property owners.
In such cases, the City Council may approve the zoning change with
a simple majority vote of all members, rather than a three -fourths
supermajority.
