INVOCATION: Mayor Pro Tem Sweet.
Mayor Hawk introduced the document presented
by Lone Star Gas regarding its appeal asking
the City to agree to 15% for depreciation,
waiving the necessity of a study to lessen
the time required and the cost in processing
this appeal. Council tabled the matter to
the next regular Council meeting.
The council discussed cost figures on the re-
port presented by Harold Knight and Jimmy
Truelove of the Sewer Operating Costs Commit-
tee. After lengthy,discussion, the Council
determined a usage rate of 98~ per 1,000 gals
of water used based on the family average for
the months of December, January and February.
Re tie-ons, Council was in agreement with a
$50 charter fed*before construction is begun
and tied on within ninety days after the trea
ment plant is operational, with a monthly min
imum charge of $6.50 until tied on (following
the ninety days). For extension of mains,
Council agreed on a charge of 50% of the cost
Council also agreed to poll the initial users
to determine whether or not a bond election
should be called.

* Tie-In Costs
$50.00 - if signed up and deposit made prior to construction
(must physically tie-in wq,thin 90 days of the
beginning of operation of treatment plant or they will
be charged a minimum rate of $6.50/month until tie-in.)
$400.00- any tie-in to basic systeip after start of construction.
* Frontage Assessment - There will bo no charge to those who tie-in
to the basic system.
* Service Line Costs - The service l;1ne will be installed by the user
at his cost.
* Taxes - Property taxes will increa:Pe to cover the remainder of the
bond debt service, and operating brd maintenance costs.
