Melton, representative of Texas Power & fight Company, appeared before the Council in regard to the requested rate increase as deter, fined by the Texas Public Utility Commission. ouncil passed Ordinance No. 234, approving ate schedules to be charged by Texas Power & fight Company in the City of Southlake, approv- 'ng service regulations filed by Texas Power & X fight Company, providing for an effective date x or such rate schedules (June 26, 1977), and x roviding conditions under which such rate x chedules may be changed, modified, amended or ithdrawn. ouncil next considered the Traffic Safety lan for Southlake as prepared by Mr. Eddie heatham of the Institute of Urban Studies at Index No. TP&L RATE IN- CREASE. Z , TO THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS To the Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council of Southlake, Texas, GREETINGS: The undersigned, Angus McNutt, of Titus County, Texas, herein- after called Petitioner, represents as follows: 1. That Petitioner is the owner of record of a tract of land out of the J. N. Gibson and B. H. Hollingsworth Surveys, in Tarrant County, Texas, more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at the NE corner of the Barrett Hollingsworth Survey, the NW corner of the J. N. Gibson Survey, the SE corner of the 0. W. Knight Survey; THENCE West along the North line of the Hollingsworth Survey, 118.9 varas; THENCE South all 205.3 varas to THENCE East THENCE North Road, in all 205.3 Gibson Survey; at 7 varas a stake in the South line of Road and a stake; 165 varas to a stake; at 198.3 varas to a stake in the South line of varas to a point in the North line of the J. N. THENCE West along the North line of the Gibson Survey, 46.1 varas to the place of Beginning containing six acres of land of which 4.32 acres are in the Hollingsworth Survey, Abstract No.797, and 1.68 acres are in the J. N. Gibson Survey, Abstract No.591. A plat of said land showing its location with respect to the boundary of the City of Southlake, Texas, is attached hereto marked "Exhibit A". 2. That the land described in Exhibit A hereto attached is less than one-half mile in width; that less than three qualified voters re- side thereon, and same is contiguous and adjacent to the City of Southlake, Texas. 3. The Petitioner agrees that if this request for annexation be granted, said land shall become a part of the City of Southlake, Texas, and the said land and any future inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all rights and privileges of other citizens of the City of Southlake, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City now in effect and as hereafter enacted. WHEREFORE, the Petitioner respectfully requests that this Petition for Annexation to the City of Southlake, Texas, of the land described in the attached Exhibit A be granted.
