Item 6B - PlansLeis Celebrate!
Southlake has proudly established itself as a community that celebrates cultural
diversity through events that reflect the rich tapestry of traditions represented by
its residents. In that same spirit, the Southlake Hispanic/Latino Organization —
comprised of Southlake residents, business owners, Southlake chamber members,
and parents of Carroll and Clariden students and graduates —respectfully seeks
the opportunity to plan and execute the 2025 Southlake Hispanic Heritage
Celebration. As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, our mission is clear:
to provide education, foster awareness, and celebrate the vibrant diversity of
Hispanic culture. This event will be more than a celebration, it will be a platform
for connection, learning, and unity, bringing together families and individuals of
all backgrounds in a way that reflects the inclusive values of our great city.
Our deep roots in Southlake and love for this community drive our passion and
commitment to excellence. The 2025 Southlake Hispanic Heritage Celebration
offers a unique opportunity not only to honor Hispanic heritage, but also to
elevate Southlake's visibility as a welcoming and culturally engaged city. This
event will attract visitors from surrounding areas, support local businesses, and
further strengthen community pride. With thoughtful planning, strong community
partnerships, and a clear vision, we are prepared to deliver an event that aligns
with Southlake's high standards while enriching its cultural landscape. We look
forward to the opportunity to serve our community and to contribute
meaningfully to Southlake's tradition of excellence through this important and
inspiring celebration.
SOUTHLAKE HISPANIC/LATINO ORGANIZATION, 501(C)(3)
I'm happy to provide a preliminary overview of the 2025 Hispanic Heritage Celebration as
we continue shaping the event with our planning committee.
We are currently projecting event hours from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with approximately two
hours allocated for setup (11:00 AM —1:00 PM) and two hours for cleanup (7:00 PM —
9:00 PM). These timeframes will ensure smooth transitions for vendors, performers, and
Logistics teams while maintaining a professional and seamless experience for attendees.
In terms of attendance, based on similar Hispanic Heritage events in the region and early
community interest, we are anticipating a crowd of approximately 3,000 to 5,000
attendees throughout the day. While this is our organization's inaugural celebration, we are
fortunate to have an exceptional marketing strategist on our planning committee who is
helping us execute a comprehensive outreach campaign. Should our engagement metrics
indicate a shift in projected turnout, we will promptly share that information with your
team.
Although we have not finalized an official entertainment schedule at this stage, I've
attached a general event outline based on our committee's early planning sessions. Please
note that we are still in the process of securing performers and partners, and this schedule
remains flexible as we move forward.
We deeplyvalue collaboration and transparency, and we welcome any feedback or
questions you may have as we work to ensure this event aligns with the City's expectations
and community standards.
Thanks again for your support, and I look forward to staying in close communication as our
plans evolve.
Warm regards,
Viri Barker
