Work Session was called to order by Mayor Shawn McCaskill at 5:32pm.
2. INVOCATION: CLAYTON REED
Mr. Clayton Reed provided the invocation. Mayor McCaskill led the pledges of allegiance
to the United States and Texas Flags.
3. SOUTHLAKE SISTER CITY UPDATE
Mr. Jeff Wang, President of the Southlake Sister Cities (SSC), provided an update and
presented the SSC scholarship recipients, artwork winner for the 2025 SSC mug and
honored the Youth Board members who received the President's Volunteer Service
Award.

4. A SALUTE TO FUTURE DEFENDERS: A CEREMONY FOR MILITARY -BOUND
GRADUATES
Mayor McCaskill recognized a distinguished group of high school graduates who have
exemplified academic excellence, leadership, and a deep commitment to service through
their enrollment in a military academy, ROTC program, or enlistment in the armed forces.
He then welcomed Mr. Milan Georgia to the podium to offer words of encouragement to
the honorees. To commemorate their dedication, Mayor McCaskill presented each
student with a proclamation and a military challenge coin.

City Manager Alison Ortowski introduced City Secretary Amy Shelley, who shared
highlights of a recent departmental milestone. The City Secretary's Office was honored
with the Achievement of Excellence Award, a distinction recognizing outstanding
performance in transparency, innovation, and professional standards.

AND CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT FOR THE TOWN HALL
PLAZA PARK PROJECT, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,775,370.
