A. Town Hall Plaza Park Presentation with Community Services Director
David Miller — The purpose of this item is for the Director of Community
Services, David Miller, to present the Town Hall Plaza Park Project to the
Southlake Youth Action Commission.
B. SYAC End of Year Review — The purpose of this item is for the
Community Services Business Manager, Milenka Lopez, to allow the
Southlake Youth Action Commission to provide an end -of -year review and
contribute ideas for next year's cohort.

Allison Bedwell presented item 2A for SYAC consideration, and
Business Manager Milenka Lopez was available to answer questions.

Action Commission meeting held on March 10, 2025.

3. Discussion
A. City Council Presentation Prep-
Milenka Lopez presented Item 3A, and the Southlake Youth Action
Committee worked on their City Council presentation, practicing with
one another in preparation for their presentation to the City Council on
April 15, 2025.

B. Public Speaking 101 with Vicky Schiber-
Milenka Lopez presented Item 313, and Director of Community Services
David Miller had the Southlake Youth Action Committee practice their
presentation using concise notes, reminding them to look up when
referencing their material, and to scan the room as they spoke. Vicky
Schiber was unavailable for that meeting.

C. Intern Day Update-
Milenka Lopez presented Item 3C and assigned members to the
departments they will be shadowing on Intern Day. She also provided
updates on lunch arrangements and the schedule for shadowing their
assigned departments.

D. City Resources-
Milenka Lopez presented Item 3D and showed the Southlake Youth
Action Committee the Southlake Serves website and staff directory,
which they can use if they have any concerns or questions about the
City of Southlake.
