A. Recommendation to reschedule the March 13, 2023, SYAC regular meeting to
March 20, 2023- The purpose of this item is to allow SYAC to consider
rescheduling the March 1311 SYAC meeting to March 20th as the regular meeting
falls on the CISD spring break schedule. No packet document.
4. Agenda Item No. 4. Discussion
A. YAC Summit 2023 Overview- This item allows for an overview and discussion of
the YAC Summit held in Dallas this year. No packet document.
B. City Council Presentation- This item allows for a discussion to prepare for a City
Council presentation in the Spring. No packet document.
C. Intern Day Discussion - This item allows for a discussion of the 2023 Intern Day
for SYAC in the Spring. No packet document.
D. Southlake Presents Marketing Plan Prep- This item allows for time to work on the

Southlake Arts Council Chair Tamara McMillan called the meeting to order at
5:59p.m.
2. PUBLIC FORUM
SLAC Chair McMillan opened the Public Forum at 6:00p.m. There being no one
present to address the Arts Council, the Public Forum was closed at 6-00p.m.

SOUTHLAKE ARTS COUNCIL MEETING (SLAC ACTION)
SLAC Chair McMillan presented item 3A, approval of the minutes of the
November 29, 2022, regular Southlake Arts Council meeting. Chair
McMillan asked if there were any revisions to the minutes. No revisions
were discussed.

A motion was made to approve the minutes of the November 29, 2022, regular
Southlake Arts Council meeting as read.

4A. TOWN MURALS DISCUSSION
Assistant to the Director, Milenka Lopez and City Council member, Kathy Talley
presented updates to an upcoming Public Art in Town Square Policy that is being
developed and were available to answer questions about the current process in
place for murals in Town Square.
Direction to staff: Update Arts Council on policy as necessary
4B. LIBERTY GARDEN ART INSTALLATION
Assistant to the Director, Milenka Lopez presented an update for item 413 to the
Arts Council and was available to answer questions.
Direction to Staff: Update Arts Council on art installation time frame
4C. ARIA SOUND SYSTEM UPDATE
Community Relations Manager, Vicky Schiber presented item 4C to the Arts
Council for updates and discussion and was available to answer questions.
Direction to Staff: Include updates on upcoming Arts Council meeting agendas
4D. FY23 EVENTS

5A. SOUTHLAKE PRESENTS MARKETING PLAN PRESENTATION
Southlake Youth Action Commission presented the proposed marketing plan for
the upcoming Southlake Presents event and asked for feedback from the Arts
Council. Marketing elements included website updates, email notifications, social
media posts, and digital and print sign advertising.
Direction to Staff: Send Tamara any press releases before publication.
6. ADJOURNMENT
SLAC Chair McMillan adjourned the meeting at 6:44 p.m.
