Recommendation on acceptance of a proposed donation of approximately 2.9 acres of open space adjacent to the Kirkwood/Sabre Linear Park — The purpose of this item is to allow for the Board's review and recommendation of a proposed donation of approximately 2.9 acres of open space by the developer of the proposed Kirkwood East project. The developer will attend the meeting to present the proposal and answer any questions. The packet memo contains additional information for your review. Contact Director Tribble with questions. B. Recommendation on proposed electrical easement for Oncor Electric Delivery Company, LLC within park property at Bicentennial Park - The purpose of this item is for the board to make a recommendation on a request for an electrical easement on park property for the Southlake Pickleball at Bicentennial Park Project. The easement will be granted to Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (Oncor) as a prerequisite to obtaining primary electrical power to the new facility. The park dedication requirement for this development has previously been satisfied and is not related to this proposed donation. The developer will attend the meeting to present the proposal and answer any questions. Please see attachments for additional information for your review. Action Requested: Parks & Recreation Board recommendation for approval of a proposed electrical easement within park property at Bicentennial Park. Background Information: The purpose of this item is for the board to make a recommendation on a request for an electrical easement on park property for the Southlake Pickleball at Bicentennial Park Project. The easement will be granted to Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (Oncor) as a prerequisite to obtaining primary electrical power to the new facility. The pickleball facility within Bicentennial Park is located in the 1.5- acre open field west of the Southlake Tennis Center. The project includes the construction of pickleball courts, fencing, lighting, pavilion/shade structures, benches, tables, chairs, landscape, hardscape, irrigation, trail connectivity and other park amenities. The City is working with Oncor to provide electricity to the new facility. As a prerequisite to obtaining electrical service to the new facility, the City will provide Oncor with the following easements: a 10 ft. wide easement for the primary electrical run from a transformer located at the southwest corner of the Southlake Tennis Center building to a new transformer located at the northwest corner of the pickleball facility; and a 20 ft. by 20 ft. easement for the transformer and its concrete pad (foundation). The purpose for this easement is to enable Oncor to perform maintenance and/or emergency repairs over their facilities if the need arises.
