INVOCATION: Mayor Sam Sparger The Minutes of the August 18,1981, City Council Meeting were approved as presented. MAYORS REPORT: Councilperson Westerholm reported that he had met with the Tarrant County Planning Department concerning our application for a HUD Grant. It was announced that there will be public hearings on October 6 and October 20 concerning this years project. Stricker x Ordinance No. 266 accepting the FY 82 Westerholm x Fiscal Year 1982 Budget as presented BUDGET McCombs x x was approved after the public hearing APPROVED Massey x x resulted with questions from Jeff ORD. 266 Ault, a citizen. A discussion was held concerning the Winding Ridge Additon, a subdivision within the City of Grapevine. Several areas of concern were reported upon. He indicated that the record compiled from police accident reports, showed. that there has been 37 accidents, with 60 vehicles involved, 18 injuries and 2 deaths. The report is hereby made a part of the record. Mayor Sparger reported that he had talked with the City Manager of the City of Grapevine, and that they had approved Phase 1 of the project but that they wanted another exit before the second phase would be,approved. The City Attorney, Bill Smith, added that he had written the Attorney General for an opinion concerning the road access onto Highway 114. The Mayor indicated that the item will be placed on the agenda for consideration when all information is available. A newsletter was discussed and Council member or Department Head wishing to have information in the newsletter is to present the information to the City Secretary as soon as possible.
