6. ZA 81-21. Zoning request for a 1 acre tract of land out
of the O.W. Knight Survey, Abstract 899. Present
zoning is Agricultural, request is for the A-3
Single Family Zoning District.

7. ZA 81-22. Zoning request for a 8.53 acre tract of land out of
the Samuel Freeman Survey. Present zoning is
Agricultural, request is for the "H" Heavy

8. ZA 81-23. Zoning request for a 46.867 acre tract of land out
of the Thomas Easter Survey, Abstract 474 and of
the A. Foster Survey, Abstract 518. Present zoning
is Agricultural, request is for the "LT" Light
Industrial Zoning District. Owner: Republic
National Bank of Dallas, Trustee for Peter A. Schurba.

The Minutes of the previous meeting
were approved as presented.
MAYORS REPORT:
Mayor Sparger invited Council to
attend a dinner hosted by the City
of Colleyville, to be held on August
24,1981. Special guest will be
Congressman, Jim Wright.
Mayor Pro Tem Latta, reported that he
had talked with John Francis of
Motorola, and that our total communica
tions package is scheduled to be compl to
by September 1,1981.
Latta reviewed for Council the
recommendation prepared by the Plannin
and Zoning Commission, concerning a
guide for future street widths for
the City of Southlake. He added the
purpose for requesting additional
easement at the time property is sub-
divided is to lesson the burden on tax
payers in the future. Latta read the
proposed policy for Council and person
in the audience. The list is attached
to the minutes.
Numerous persons from the audience
expressed concern with the proposed
future 84' width of Peytonville Ave.

Westerholm x approved as requested. The zoning A-3

were no comments during the public
hearing and Planning and Zoning
Commission recommended approval.
ZA 81-22. An 8.53 acre tract of ZA 81-22
land was changed from Agricultural ZONING

Property owners within 200 feet
present for this public hearing were
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Yates. They were
very much opposed to the zoning Chang ,
stating noise and traffic as the main
reasons.
It wa-s established that the property
is shown as Light Industrial on the
cities future land use map. Council
expressed the desire to allow for a
buffer to residences in the area and
as recommended by the Planning and
Zoning Commission. The buffer will
be controlled through the Building
Permit.
Action on the Winding Ridge Addition, WINDING
a subdivision within the City of RIDGE
Grapevine with ingress-egress onto ADDITION
Highway 114, was talbed pending
legal opinion from Bill Smith, City
Attorney.
Former Councilman, AC Urbanosky, was
present and explained various problem
that have occurred on Highway 114 and
attempts that have been made to get
cooperation from the State Highway
Department, concerning the extreme
traffic hazard in that area. Gary
Teague, was present, representing
the developer.
During the discussion of the Develope s
Agreement, concerning the percentage
which should be set aside as a
maintenance bond for subdivisions
within the City of Southlake, motion
was made by Latta that Southlake ask
for an amount of 200, of the cost
for construction of the facilities
