Eubanks x x MAYORS REPORT Mayor Latta read a proclamation to the citizens of Southlake which stated in order to equalize the distribution of our water resources, it is necessary for residents east of White Chapel Blvd. to accomplish normal watering on even numbered days and residents on the west side of White Chapel Blvd. to water on odd numbered days. He stated that in May of 1984, we experienced a 56% increase over last year in water useage. COUNCFLPERSON z z PAGE: 2 INDEX Latta read a letter he received from the Southlake Chamber of Commerce asking the city to join "C.O.N.E.T. (Cities of North East Tarrant). The group will lobby for more highway funds in this area. Mayor Latta indicated that Southlake was ask to participate with Keller, and TRA concerning the extension of the sewer line at Big Bear Creek. Johnny Westerholm is to look into this further and report to council. Westerholm x Resolution 84-7A was approved, RESOLUT )I Bradley x x naming Davis Bradley as liaison 84-7A McCombs x x officer to the Planning and Zoning LIAISON Eubanks x Commission. OFFICER The current water rates were discuss- ed. Director of Public Works, Louie Johnson, gave a presentation stating that we need to look at the complete water system. ZA 84-37. Zoning request for Lot 4 ZA 84-37 of the White Chapel Place Addition was discussed. Current zoning is G RE Residential Estates, request is for the A-3 Single Family Zoning. However, at the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission, and conscent of the property owners, the property was considered for A-1 Single Family, to keep more in line with the area. During the public hearing, it was established that two property owners within 200' were not notified of the P & Z meeting, although they had been properly notified in time for the city council meeting public hearing. They are; George Howard and Bob Pasley. Westerholm x x Upon returning, motion was made and Bradley x approved to approve the zoning McCombs x change to A-1 Single Family Zoning. Eubanks x x ZA 84-32. The replat of Lot 4 of the ZA 84-32 White Chapel Place Addition was REPLAT discussed with the adjoining property owners within 200' opposing the replat. esterholm x Motion was made and approved to Bradley x x approve the replat of Lot 4, making McCombs x Lot 4-A and Lot 4-B. Eubanks x x ZA 84-34. The zoning request for ZA 84-34 a 27.04 acre tract of land out of th Thomas Mahan Survey, Abstract 1049, was approved as requested for A-3 Westerholm x Single Family District Zoning. Bradley x x Present zoning was agricultural. McCombs x x Eubanks x Owner, Dan Howell, was present and there were no comments during the public hearing. ZA 84-35. The zoning request for a ZA 84-35 Westerholm x x two acre tract of land out of the Bradley x J.W. Chivers Survey, Abstract 350, McCombs x x was discussed. Agricultural is the Eubanks x current zoning, request is for the A-3 Single Family Zoning District. Ken Saunier, owner, was present and answered questions for the coun- cil. There were no comments during the public hearing. DEPARTMENT REPORTS: The department reports were discussed. Officer Crowder announced that Detective Burns will be attending a three day school next week. Chief Phillips is on vacation at this time. Approval was given for the purchase of necessary items to repair pump at the water tower site. Costs will be approximately $8,000. Mayor Latta polled the council on this item.
