INVOCATION: Johnny Westerholm.
MAYORS REPORT:
Mayor Sparger announced that the
city has entered into a contract with
City of Keller concerning the
water expansion project. Engineer,
Eddie Cheatham elaborated on the
subject.
Mayor Sparger announced that he
will be moving out of Southlake,
therefore, he is resigning his
position as Mayor of Southlake. The
resignation is effective immediately.
Upon the announcement, he turned
the meeting over to Mayor Pro Tem,
Lloyd Latta.
City Attorney, Bill Smith explained
to council that under the state
statutes, Latta has the power to
serve as Mayor and that the council
has the option to appoint a Mayor
to fill the unexpired term or they
may call a special election. Latta
called a special city council
meeting for May 21,1984 at 7:30 p.m.

was discussed, however, council felt
it should go back to the commission

lake Bank Place was tabled.

purchase a 1978 Ford F600 fire truck

order by Mayor Pro Tem Latta, in the
absence of Mayor Sparger.
Latta explained that the purpose
of the meeting was to have the SECOND
