APPROVE MINUTES FROM THE JOINT SOUTHLAKE PARKS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION AND PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD MEETING HELD AUGUST 6, 2019 The minutes of the August 6, 2019 Joint Southlake Parks Development Corporation and Park Board meeting were approved with no changes or corrections. 2B. APPROVE THE REGULAR PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 11, 2019 The minutes of the November 11, 2019 Park Board meeting were approved with no changes or corrections. 2C. ABSENCE OF PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD MEMBERS Park Board Secretary Paul Venesky's absence and Board Member Chad Bedwell's absence from the November 11, 2019 meeting were excused. RECOMMENDATION ON PROPOSED PARKLAND DEDICATION FOR THE METAIRIE AT SOUTHLAKE DEVELOPMENT Director of Community Services Chris Tribble presented the proposed parkland dedication for the Metairie at Southlake Development presentation by the developer James Cox. The board members did not present questions. The Board discussed the request and was in favor of the proposed parkland dedication for the Metairie at Southlake Development as presented. APPROVED A motion was made to recommend approval of the proposed parkland dedication for the Metairie at Southlake Development as presented. CONSIDER THE LEASE OF CITY -OWNED ATHLETIC FIELDS THROUGH A FACILITIES UTILIZATION AGREEMENT (FUA) FOR THE SPORT OF GIRLS LACROSSE Director of Community Services Chris Tribble presented the lease consideration of city - owned athletic fields through a facilities utilization agreements (FUA) for the sport of girls lacrosse and was available to answer questions. Southlake Carroll Lacrosse Association Treasurer Brian Pierret was present to answer questions and provided a brief overview of the consideration. Communications Director of Southlake Girls Lacrosse Association Ayn Laherty was present to answer questions and provided a brief overview of the consideration. The Board discussed the consideration for a lease of city -owned athletic fields through a facilities utilization agreement (FUA) for the sport of girls lacrosse and was in favor of the consideration. /_1»:19117/ 4 C, A motion was made to recommend the Southlake Girls Lacrosse Association (SGLA) a two (2) year lease of city -owned athletic fields through a facilities utilization agreement (FUA) for the sport of girls lacrosse to City Council. Motion: Palmer Second: Venesky Ayes: Craddock, Scharli, Bedwell Nays: None Abstain: Ng, Driscoll Vote: 5-0-2 Motion carried. 5. DISCUSSION 5A. Deputy Director of Community Services Kate Meacham presented the Fiscal Year 2019 Southlake Tennis Center Report and was available to answer questions. Southlake Tennis Center General Manager Mia Gordon-Poorman was present to answer questions and provided a brief overview of the report. 6C. Deputy Director of Community Services Kate Meacham presented the Fiscal Year 2019 Park Facility Rentals Report and was available to answer questions. WORK SESSION AGENDA 7. Southlake 2035 Parks, Recreation & Open Space Master Plan Director of Community Services Chris Tribble presented Lonesome Dove Park, Royal and Annie Smith Park, and Chesapeake Park of the 2035 Parks Master Plan for the work session agenda. 7A. Lonesome Dove Park Southlake residents were present and discussed concerns and opinions on the future of the park. Park Board heard the input and took the recommendations into consideration for current planning events. 7B.
