PROJECT: Sign variances for CED - Consolidated Electrical Distributors, Inc.
EXECUTIVE
SUMMARY: Fastsigns is requesting approval of a sign variance to Sign Ordinance No 704-J, as
amended, to allow an additional Flat Panel A wall sign at their business located at
1825 Mustang Court Unit 100, in the Mustang Court Business Park Development.
DETAILS: The applicant is requesting a variance to install an additional externally illuminated
Flat Panel A wall sign for Consolidated Electrical Distributors, Inc. on the south
elevation of 1825 Mustang Court. While the ordinance permits one attached sign
per street frontage, with a maximum of two, Flat Panel A signs are a special category
allowed only in Industrial zones and are limited to one per lease space. The
applicant already has an approved permit for a Flat Panel A wall sign on the east
elevation. The applicant is seeking a second Flat Panel A sign so that both signs
match.
On May 08, 2025, the Sign Board recommended approval (6-1), noting the
applicant’s willingness to consider moving the location of the second sign to the left
on the proposed south elevation to the tilt wall.
Following the Sign Board meeting, the applicant is seeking approval for the originally
proposed sign placement without any modifications. This request reflects the
building owner's preference to maintain the proposed location to ensure consistency
and alignment with signs on nearby buildings.
