The bid received is listed below. Bidder Total Bid Tejas Cutters, LLC $847,886.97* * Note: Calculation errors were discovered for bid items 37, 48, 49, 50, 60, and 80. Calculation and written errors were discovered for bid items 35, 69, and 78. The contractor’s written unit price was the price utilized for the total bid tabulation. The total cost listed above represents the corrected tabulated cost based on the items noted. Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. (Kimley-Horn) has reviewed the bid and contacted references for the bidder. Tejas Cutters, LLC Brandon Gibbs with TxDOT confirmed Tejas Cutters worked on the Navarro Bridge Reconstruction project for TxDOT. The project consisted of bridge reconstruction where Tejas performed drainage and dirt work with extensive rip-rap installation amounting to $1,063,570.31. The project is ongoing and is estimated to be completed on time and within budget. Tejas was a sub-contractor for this project and did not use any subsequent sub-contractors for their scope of work. Mr. Gibbs stated that there have not been any issues with Tejas, and the only change order was due to TxDOT changing their scope of work. Tejas performed work in the associated creek to remove and re-install existing rip-rap with no issues. Mr. Gibbs stated he would work with Tejas again.
