3. Agenda Item No. 3. Public Forum
This is the public's opportunity to address the Arts Council about non -agenda
items. During this proceeding, the Arts Council will not discuss or act on any item
presented. Southlake Arts Council respectfully asks anyone speaking during the
Public Forum to limit remarks to three minutes or less.
4. Agenda Item No. 4. Discussion
A. DPS West Dedication Ceremony Recap- The purpose of this item is to
discuss the DPS West Dedication Ceremony that took place on April 11,
2025. No packet document.
B. Southlake Presents Preparation- The purpose of this item is for the
Southlake Arts Council to finalize preparations for the Southlake Presents
exhibit. No packet document.

item is to begin discussions on the public art component of the Public

E. APEX Updates- The purpose of this item is for the Southlake Arts Council

Southlake Arts Council Chair Tamara McMillan called the meeting to order at 6:00
P.M.
2. CONSENT AGENDA
2A. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FROM THE FEBRUARY 25, 2025, SOUTHLAKE
ARTS COUNCIL MEETING
Chair Tamara McMillan presented item 2A, approval of the minutes from
the February 25, 2025, Southlake Arts Council meeting.
APPROVED
A motion was made to approve the minutes from the February 25, 2025,
Southlake Arts Council meeting as presented.

3. PUBLIC FORUM
Chair McMillan opened the Public Forum at 6:01 P.M.
There being no one to speak, the Public Forum was closed at 6:01 P.M.
4. DISCUSSION
4A. DPS WEST INSTALLATION AND DEDICATION CEREMONY
Community Relations Manager Vicky Schiber provided an update on the DPS
West Art Ceremony, informing the Southlake Arts Council about the event's
logistics, including the date and time. She was also available to answer
questions.
Direction to Staff: NA
4B. SOUTHLAKE PRESENTS ART JURY AND SELECTION
Community Relations Manager Vicky Schiber presented the art submitted by
artists for display in the Southlake Presents Exhibit. The Southlake Arts Council
reviewed and analyzed the submissions, selecting 14 pieces from 10 artists for
the exhibit.
Direction to Staff: The hanging of the art will take place on May 2, 2025, at 9:30
A.M. in Town Hall. The Southlake Presents Exhibit will be held on May 4, 2025,
from 4:00 to 5:30 P.M.
4C. PUBLIC ARTS UPDATE
Community Relations Manager Vicky Schiber gave an update on the Public Art
Program and was available to answer questions.

4D. APEX UPDATES
Arts Council member and APEX member Terri Messing gave an update on
upcoming APEX events and was available to answer questions.
