Chair Magdalena Battles called the Parks and Recreation Board meeting to order at 6:00
p.m.
2. CONSENT AGENDA
2A. APPROVE MINUTES FROM THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD MEETING
HELD APRIL 14, 2025
The minutes of the April 14, 2025, Parks and Recreation Board meeting were approved
with no changes or corrections.
Consent Agenda items are considered to be routine and are enacted with one motion by
the Board.
APPROVED
A motion was made to approve the Consent items, including the minutes of the Park
Board meeting held on April 14, 2025.

3. PUBLIC FORUM

Chair Battles opened Public Forum at 6.01 p.m. There being no one to speak, Chair
Battles closed Public Forum at 6.01 p.m.
4. DISCUSSION
4A. COMMUNITY SERVICES MARKETING OVERVIEW
Community Relations Manager Vicky Schiber provided an overview of the Community
Services Community Relations Division to the Parks and Recreation Board. She
introduced her team and explained their roles, the audiences they engage with, the
platforms they use, and their methods of communication. Vicky was available to answer
questions.
4B. PARKS AND PUBLIC ART TOUR
Community Relations Manager Vicky Schiber led the Parks and Recreation Board on a
Parks and Public Art Tour, where members learned about the history of the artwork and
how each piece came to be part of the City of Southlake. She was also available to
answer questions.
5. ADJOURNMENT
Chair Magdalena Battles adjourned the meeting at 8.03 p.m.
