ABSENT: Mayor Sam Sparger INVOCATION: Bruce McCombs The purpose of the Special City Council meeting was to officially canvass the ballots of the April 3,19E2 Municipal Election. Stricker x Resolution 82-6 was approved by RESOLUTION Westerholm x x unanimous vote. 82-6 McCombs x APPROVED. M --sey x x The Resolution states that as a result of the Municipal Election, Bruce McCombs will serve as Councilman Place 3 until April 1984, Tom Loris will serve as Councilman Place 4, until April 1984 and Marion R. Bone, will serve as Councilman Place 5 until April 1984. During the meeting, Latta informed the Councilmembers of several items which include: The accident of Mrs. Wallace Cline, while reading water meters; The illness of an employees grandbaby; the pictures that will be taken of Councilpersons on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. April 6. Latta Jr. Alderman/Councilmember Bruce McCombs Alderman/Councilmember Johnny Westerholm Alderman/Councilmember Modine Stricker Alderman/Councilmember Shari Massey Alderman/Councilmember Sandra L. LeGrand , City Secretary/Clerk and the following absent: M ey Qom Sp rge , constituting a quorum, and among other proceedings had were the following: Johnny Westerholm Alderman/Councilmember introduced a resolution and order and moved its adoption. Johnson (write in) 1 Wade Booker (write in) 1 Gary Fuller (write in) 1 Bill Lafavor (write in) 1 FOR NAME OF CANDIDATE TOTAL NUMBER OF VOTES RECEIVED FOR NAME OF CANDIDATE TOTAL NUMBER OF VOTES RECEIVED THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL/COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE TEXAS That said election was duly called ; that notice of said election was given in accordance with law, and that said election was held in accordance with law, and that was duly - elected Mayor of said City at said election and Bruce McCombs, Tom Loris, Marion Bone were duly elected Aldermen/Councilmembers of said City at said election, and that was duly elected and said above named parties are hereby declared duly elected to said respective offices, subject to the taking of their oaths and filing bond as provided by the laws of the State of Texas. It is further found and determined that in accordance with the order of this governing body the Secretary/Clerk posted written notice of the date, place and subject of this meeting on the bulletin board located in the City Hall, a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public, and said notice having been so posted and remaining posted continuously for at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of said meeting. A copy of the return of said posting shall be attached to the minutes of this meeting and shall be made a part thereof for all intents and purposes.
