INVOCATION: Lloyd Latta The Minutes of the May 19,1981 City Council meeting were approved as presented. MAYORS REPORT: Mayor Sparger informed Council that Judge Jon Michael Franks has reviewed and updated the cities fine list. The Budget Calendar for FY82, was reviewed. The Mayor recommended that the budget be prepared by each department head and liaison officer as though the city will have the new facilities as planned. Mayor Pro Tem Latta, reported that th new communications equipment for the Police and Fire Department is on orde and will be delivered in about 30 day!. Latta x x - Stricker x Resolution 81-18 was approved which RESOLUTIOI Westerholm x will cause all property in the City 81-18 McCombs x x of Southlake to be assessed based APPROVED on 100% of its appraised value. This action was taken in order to comply with the Texas Property Tax Code. COUNCILPERSON PAGE: 2 INDEX A commendation was given to two Southlake Police Officers for service beyond the call of duty. Eric Reed and Bryan Austin were presented with awards by Chief Daymond Gaddy. Gaddy also introduced members of the police department to the City Council. ZA 81-14. Replat of the Glory Place, ZA 81-14 Lots 1,2, and S were discussed. Latt REPLAT OF gave a summary of the Planning and THE GLORY Zoning Commission action concerning PLACE the plan. Frank Snell was present and answered questions for the Council concerning the plat. Latta made the motion to approve the replat to x x of Lots 112, and 5 of the Glory Place Nesicker x with the following corrections being sterholm x x made: McCombs x 1. Lots 1R and 2R should reflect an additional 11.11 feet right-of-way along Continental Blvd. 2. Lot 51 along South White Chapel Blvd. show a dedication for future road widening of 17 feet. 3. The entire plat be shown on one drawing. 4. That there be no future subdivid- ing of Lots 1R and 2R. S. All adjoining property owners be shown on the final plat. 6. The dedication should be shown on the final plat. Motion was made and approved. Latta x x Stricker x ZA 81-18. The final plat of the Akar ZA 81-18 Nesterholm x Addition was approved as presented. Motion was made to table Stricker x the item and invite a representative Westerholm x from the engineering firm of Teague, McCombs x x Perkins, and Nell, to meet with Council for further discussion. It was also suggested that Chuck Humphies of the Highway Department be invited to the meeting. Latta x x Approval was given for the repairs Stricker x x to the Fire Department Rescue Unit Westerholm x # 3008. Estimates were approximately ,Combs x $350. to $400. Latta x x A "County Arson Task Force" program Stricker x was presented to Council by Fire Chie , Westerholm x Bob Steele. McCombs x x Motion was made and approved for Mayo Sparger to write a letter to the County Fire Marshal, offering support from Southlake. Latta x x The bills presented for payment, Stricker x were approved. (Attached hereto and Westerholm x x made a part hereof). McCombs x The meeting was adjourned by Mayor Sam Sparger.
