PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION
Electrify America is establishing a comprehensive, technologically advanced, and
customer-friendly charging network to drive Electric Vehicle (EV) adoption by reducing
charging anxiety.
Electrify America is establishing a network that includes non-proprietary electric vehicle
charger stations (EVCS) at sites across the country.
Community-based charging station sites such as the one proposed at Shopcore Park
Village, are installed at workplaces, retail locations (shopping centers, restaurants, etc.),
multifamily residential locations, municipal lots, and garages, and in high-speed
community depots that will feature fast EV charging. A Shopcore property nestled in the
Houston MSA. It is a 4-star Retail Community Center in an urban set up. Anchored by
well-performing Kroger and Walgreens. Other tenants include Starbucks, Dental office,
Chick Fil A, Restaurants, Café, Massage Heights, Mathnesium, etc. Energy Corridor
tenants including BP, Shell, and ConocoPhillips office nearby. Access from Briar Forest
Dr and Eldridge Pkwy. This property is well connected to Eldridge Pkwy, Briar Forest Dr,
Parkway Plaza Dr, Westerloch Dr and Brimhurst Dr with high volume of traffic of 18229-

25716 vehicles (per the data of year 2022 in Co Star). It has 179 surface parking spaces
and signalized intersection adding yet another safety aspect for the drivers. This
location is attractive as it has a great tenant mix and serves a population of
approximately118,837 (3 mi radius).
Electrify America’s goal is to promote greater Zero-Emission Vehicle (ZEV) adoption by
offering an ultrafast and convenient charging network. This will fuel today’s EVs, as well
as the rapid growth in EV models expected from car companies between now and the
late 2020s.
Electrify America chargers are available to customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The chargers do not require any attendants or employees and access to the charging
stations is via existing roads. Electrify America has a 24-hour help line for
troubleshooting and support. The charging station sites will have quarterly maintenance
checks by Electrify America.
For this project, Electrify America is looking to install this EVCS site on the northeast
side of the existing parking lot. The proposed technology will not impact the footprint,
parking, lighting, or landscaping of the site. The installation will not impact vehicle or
pedestrian access, handicapped parking or truck loading and unloading facilities. The
project will provide BTC Gen IV Dispensers and Signet Power Units on a new conduit
platform. The attached site plan shows the proposed layout and equipment dimensions.
The design of the EVCS will require the reduction of 1 parking space in the location of
the EVCS. This loss of parking space will be mitigated by creation of another parking
space on the property to maintain the current required (previously approved) number of
parking spaces.
