The purpose of the hearing is to consider a request for a Special Exception Use, per Ordinance No. 480, as amended, Section 44.12(1), for a domestic employee or family quarters and Section 44.12(6) for a reduction in the required setback for an accessory structure on Lot 22, Block 1, High Point Addition, located at 430 Shady Oaks Dr. Current Zoning: “SF-1A” Single Family Residential District The request is to seek approval to remodel and expand an existing accessory building which includes domestic employee or family quarters. The applicant is requesting a side yard setback of 18 feet in keeping with the existing structure’s setback. The required side yard setback is 20 feet. You are encouraged to follow the requested action through final approval because changes are often made during the review process.
