The Minutes of the June 3,1980, City
Council Meeting were approved as
presented.
Mayor's Report
Mayor Hawk read a letter submitted
Sparger x x by Councilperson Latta, asking Counci
Stricker x to excuse his absence from tonights
Massey sky x x x meeting. He is on vacation. Motion
Massey was made and approved to excuse the
absence as requested.
Also during the Mayors report,
Councilperson Massey briefed Council
of a "Cube Fun Day" to be held on
June 22 at the Silver Lake Park, at
Grapevine Lake. She indicated that
concerned citizens of the area are
invited to attend.
Mayor Hawk invited Councilpersons to
attend a meeting with the Corps of
Engineers, and other area cities
to discuss problems at the lake. The
meeting will be held on June 23,1980.
Hawk informed Council that a report
came from the City of Keller indicat-
ing they have submitted their informa
tion to their City engineers, concern
ing the Keller Rural Water System
purchase by the City of Southlake.

City Council approved the low bid WATER
as recommended by Paul Whaley of LINE
Carter and Burgess,Inc. for the EXTENSIC.
extension of water lines in the Phase PHASE II
II project of the Community Develop- HUD
ment Grant through HUD.
Mr. Whaley stated that he felt Myre
Construction Companies bid of
$57,340. was in line, as the availabl
funds are approximately $59,000. The
time limit for construction is 60
days.
Sparger x x Councilperson Sparger made a motion

Second low bid was $57,850. with
bidder being J.D. Griffith Company.

presented the preliminary plat for PLAT,
Phase I. of the addition. Mayor PHASE I
Hawk reviewed the comments given by
Bart Bradford of Carter and Burgess,
Inc. The following comments were
discussed and to be corrected before
the final plat is approved.
1. The Developer is to submit a
drainage analysis prior to the final
plat approval of Phase I.
2. On the Northeast corner, plat
should be revised to show 15' radius
(at Cherry and Apple).
3. A legal description and vicinity
map is to be added to the plat.

4. The Developer agrees to use a nut
shell septic system on each structure
with the final plat carrying that as
a deed restriction and also with the
condition that it is refered to in
the Developers Agreement.
5. The 200' set back from Mesco
will be honored and shown on the final
plat, for Lots 1-5, Block A.

suggestion by Mayor Hawk that the DISCUSSES
newsletter contain premarily
Capital Improvement Information.
There were no other suggestions for
the contents of the newsletter.
