Prior to the regular scheduled Council ' ~ I t lAgenda Items, Councilman Urbanosky in- formed the Council and the audience of the ;road work being done on 114. He stated the ;Highway Department has removed the curbing ion 114 due to the request of the city and the heavy reports of accidents. Also re- ported by Councilman Urbanosky was the future plans of the Highway Dept, con- sisting of constructing a 8 lane on 114 j ! and cutting down the hill on 114. Mr. Nicholas {also stated that soon the State Insurance card will be penalizing city's with water mains less than 6 inches. Mayor Pro Tem !Sparger asked Mr. Nicholas wether the new ;equipment take priority over the replacement j lof water mains or vis versa? Mr. Nicholas !stated that the equipment is the city's ;first priority. Mayor Hawk requested that a work session be arranged with Mr. Nicholas, Mr. Nicholas stated he would look forward to ~a workshop. Councilwoman Morrison commended !Mr. Nicholas on his presentation. Mr. 'Bob Looney who is the Tarrant County Fire :Marshall stated that a Mr. J. E. Baun from Dallas will evaluate the city free, 'also stating that 50% of the Key Rate is based on water systems. Council approved of mayor Pro MORRISON ; X Tem Sparger and Councilwoman Morrison HARPER X to contact the County to see if their {spraying would be feasible. Mayor Pro Tem Sparger stated that the j ` i Grant Funds which the City applied for j I to improve Peytonville Road could !possibly be spent to buy the right I of way on Peytonville. He urged the I j Council to make a decision soon,as to f Jwhat will be done. ;Mayor Hawk authorized the City Secretary j to confirm a workshop date with the Tax 'Assessor and to report back to Council. :Mayor Hawk answered Counciwomans Mor- bison question regarding a reply back j ifrom Riley Fletcher. Mayor Hawk stated he has not as yet received a reply. j Mayor Hawk stated he will speak to the :Planning and Zoning to define the re- j sponsibiliti~,_s of the Sewer Committee.
