Approval of Bills. 176 IF 40 CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL NOVEMBER 21, 1972 The City Council of the City of Southlake met in regular session in the Council Chamber of City Hall in Southlake, Texas, on Tues- dgy, November 21, 1972, with the following members present. Wade Booker, Mayor / Bill Joe Knox, Ma or Pro Tem Nunn Councilman R. D. Drummond, Councilman Frank Tetrault, Councilman J. A. Perez, Councilman Also present: William D. Campbell, City Attorney. Mayor Booker called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. The invoca- tion was given by Councilman Knox. The minutes of the last regular meeting were approved as read. General Telephone representative, John Rubio, informed the Council his company is planning underground cable work in certain areas and would like to know the City's street plans to avoid being at cross purposes with any City street work. The Council advised it would need time to discuss the matter with the city engineer and then in- form him by letter. Fire Department: report wasgiven by Chief Steele. (Attached hereto.) The Council was advised that the only tanker, #3001 was in serious disrepair and in need of a new tank. Since the cost of having a new tank will run over $2,000, Council advised Chief Steele to secure at least three bids as per the City Attorney's advice. ZA-V2-12: was set for public hearing December 19, 1972, at 7:30 P.M. Planning & Zoning Seminar held at SMU was reported on by Mrs. Eliza- beth Stickley. The Mayor thanked her for the extremely informative report. Resolution No.72-22: ealling for intest in and further investigation of a tri-city police facilities building to be shared with Grapevine and Colleyville was passed on motion by Councilman Drummond; seconded by Councilman Knox. Motion carried unanimously. (Resolution attached hereto and made a part hereof.) j Resolution No. 72-23: calling for adoption of Rules and Rdgulations ® or City employees was tabled to the next regular meeting pending re- view by the City Attorney. I 177 All bills currently due were approved for payment on motion by Councilman Drummond; seconded by Councilman Knox. Motion carried unanimously. Councilman Knox moved that $95 be spent for tires for use in the Police Department; seconded by Councilman Tetrault. Motion carried unanimously. Councilman Knox was reappointed to the Texas Highway Committee on motion by Councilman Tetrault; seconded by Councilman Perez. Motion carried unanimously. (Councilman Knox abstained from the vote.) { Chief Steele again requested that the Council have the City Attorney investigate the depths of liability of the City if the Fire Department uses its rescue wagon for ambulance service. Councilman Tetrault introduced some discussion concerning the revision of the Master Plan as indicated in the Housing Study prepared by Bart Bradford.
