Approval of Bills 88 CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL JUNE 6, 1972 The City Council of the City of Southlake met in regular session in the Council Chamber of City Hall in Southlake, Texas, on Tues- day, June 6, 1972, with the following members present: Wade Booker, Mayor Ralph Polson, Mayor Pro Tem Billy Joe Knox, Councilman Frank Tetrault, Councilman Absent: W. O. Nunn, Councilman R. D. Drummond, Councilman Also present: William D. Campbell, City Attorney The meeting was called to order by Mayor Booker at 7:35 P.M. The invocation was given by Councilman Polson. The minutes of the last regular meeting were approved as read. Solid Waste Franchise Proposal present c~ y Mr. Hall was tabled e r all the Counciliresent. 1.9-a t3ante Mayor Booker thanked Mr. and Mrs. Hall for appearing. Hilltop Acres representative for the Messina Brothers failed to appear. Mr. Bart Bradford of Carter & Burgess, Inc., was requested to write them a letter advising them to enter into a Community Facilities Agreement with the City whereupon the plat could be given final approval and then filed. Police Department report was given by Chief Doug Hughes (attached hereto) an he a so reported on repairs made on the patrol cars as well as on the seminar he attended at the Regional Police Academy. The Council gave him permission to join the Texas Narcotics Officers Association having annual dues of $10 on motion by Councilman KikQx seconded by Councilman Polson. Motion carried unanimously. Open Space Program was next discussed and the City's need for out- door recreational facilities. Mr. Bradford will present some cost figures to the Council in order that they may incorporate them in the 1973 Budget. ZA 72 5;•.had its public hearing set for July 18th, 1972, 7:30 P.M. Q Southlake Estates Community Facilities Agreement was approved and moo 89 i signed by the Mayor on motion by Councilman Polson; seconded by Councilman C- Knox. Motion carried unanimously. [Copy attached.] Theft Guard Program was explained by Councilman Tetrault. It was move by Councilman Polson that the Police Department pur- chase 100 window stickers at a cost of $10 to be sold for ~9t each; seconded by Councilman Knox. Motion carried unanimously. Councilman Polson moved to appoint Councilman Tetrault to the County Library Study Committee; seconded by Councilman Knox. Motion carried unanimously. Councilman Knox moved to Approve the bills presented for payment; seconded by Councilman Tetrault. Motion carried unanimously. Mayor Booker informed the Council that there will be no regular council meeting July 4th, a national holiday. The City Secretary was directed to send a letter to Mr. Don Wilson regarding the need for additional water taps on his property. There being no furtherbusiness the meeting adjourned.
